5 Minute Read
Meeting with your financial planner or an RIA for the first time might seem overwhelming. Where do you even begin? How do you know which questions to ask? To help provide you with ideas on where to start, we’ve created a list of the 5 most commonly asked questions we get from new and potential clients at Doyle Wealth Management.
As my RIA, how do you get paid?
The majority of RIAs are fee-only. This means you as the client are charged an annual percentage fee, usually based on the amount you are investing. Most of these annual fees range from 1% to 2%. All services are included in this, so there’s no hidden fees. Learn more about fees here.
Do you really work for me? (No, REALLY?)
Yes! But let us tell you how: We use a well-known, independent third party (TD Ameritrade) as our custodian. We are not a broker-dealer, so we do not receive commissions or benefits for investing client money. We are fee-only, as mentioned above. We are also held to a fiduciary standard, meaning we are legally obligated to act in your best interest. Both of these factors greatly reduces the potential risk for conflict of interest. Additionally, being held to a fiduciary standard means we are required to keep your best interest in mind and must provide you with any potential conflicts of interest that might exist in our relationship with you. We are registered and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission, and in doing so, are considered to be a fiduciary.
How long have you been in practice?
Since 2005, Doyle Wealth Management has been helping clients have peace of mind and guidance with life’s financial challenges. The practice is based in Florida and manages more than $900 million in assets.
What experience do you have?
Whether you are nearing retirement, already full swing into the retirement stage, or just starting out with your financial milestones, we help clients in every stage of life. We provide comprehensive financial planning services.
The DWM Team consists of advisors with the following designations and licenses: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), PFS (Personal Financial Specialist), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), EA (Enrolled Agent), and CTFA (Certified Trust and Financial Advisor).
But for those who don’t know what all these designations and certifications mean, it means this: When it comes to managing your assets and helping you grow your wealth, we have legitimate knowledge and experience on both the investment side and planning side. The DWM team brings more than 170 years of combined experience to you.
Bonus question: What awards and recognition have you received?
