Please welcome Steven Cantillo, CFP®, who joined the team in September as a Wealth Manager. Steve brings with him 11 years of experience in personal financial planning and employee benefit plans from Ernst & Young’s Employee Financial Services practice. While there, he led teams of other financial planners in the development of thoughtful, personalized financial guidance and education for clients, in both English and Spanish. Steve earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Business Management from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, NJ.
To get to know him a little better, we asked him some questions:
What are your passions outside of work?
I have a passion for financial literacy and community service, particularly as it applies to personal or professional development. When I’m not in the office or spending time with my family & friends, I lead a team of local professionals dedicated to the development of Latino and Latina leaders in the Greater Tampa Bay area, as well as student chapters across the State of Florida.
Describe your dream vacation.
My dream vacation would be a 2-month tour of Spain, Italy and Greece. I would visit all the major destinations in each of the three countries, spending extra time in the coastal cities and islands, becoming intimately familiar with the culture and cuisine.
What is your favorite book or movie?
My favorite book is The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho – the book’s theme of self-realization and the significance of Santiago’s personal journey is a message most anyone would benefit from hearing at least once in their lives.
